Hello there, The Budget is on us again, price increases, vat up, petrol up, – well no surprise there then, rail & airlines strike for Easter and Snow. Snow! – and I thought we’d seen the last of it before we decided to put our Summer Menu out. Maybe we should buck the trend and call it our Snowy Menu!
You may have noticed we have just had the Chalkboards redone and we have such fun when we’re trying to come up with new little slogans to put on – though some of them are completely unusable in the cold light of day. It’s such a joy to watch Simon at work too as he does it all freehand and we think he does such a good job.
So – to the new menu, Mouth-watering Melon, Highland Haggis, Oriental King Prawns, Mexican Melter, Pork & Pasta, Pea & Mint Risotto, Goats Cheese Tart, Broccoli & Blue Cheese Quiche, Pan fried Salmon, Grilled Seabass, Summer Salads and Chefs Chocolate Sundae are all new things that we’ve enjoyed and hope that you will too – whatever the weather!
This year is a milestone year for us as Rikki turns 18 (ahh he was such a cute little thing) and can finally buy us a drink and I turn that flirty but not 40 age (you know the one I mean) so I’m trying to be fit as opposed to flabby which the family are relishing and dragging me to the gym. Last week I was there 3 days on the trot and on getting home promptly fell asleep in the bath absolutely cream crackered and refused to go the next day which obviously made me a lightweight (if only!)
Homemade Stuff – yep we do loads of it so do take a look and treat yourself or your friends and if you haven’t tried our Sloe Gin or Ross’ Hotshot – you don’t know what you’re missing.
Glad you all like the Tack Room – did you know that we can do private Dining in there if you fancy a bit of a do?
