I’m Anita and with my Husband Ross run the Dog & Gun at Malsis, Sutton In Craven between Keighley and Skipton. Well that in itself can be a contradiction in terms as most people think we’re in Glusburn, but officially we’re not and it’s all due apparently to the lay of the beck so just for the record there are four Pubs in Sutton and none in Glusburn.
If you ask me, it’s a bit like going to Blackpool when we were kids, first you’d see Blackpool Tower and then it would disappear from view as you went round a corner as if someone had it on a wheelbarrow just to torment you. – Don’t tell me you’d never noticed!
Anyway blogging – how exciting as I’m thinking of writing this it’s Mothers Day and I wonder if the boys will progress from picking daffodils this year ( no they didn’t, in fact it passed them by without a thought – wonder if I can get away with that for their Birthdays?)
I’m sure you’ll have noticed that we have some building work going on at the moment and if I’m really good at this you should be able to see some photos too of how we’re getting on – it may be simple for you but this is my first blog!
Today had been one of those normal hectic days – builders arrive early, deliveries arrive, need to go to the garage, do the school run, Dad’s carer has the day off so need to go there, Insurance man is coming and no he’s not from the Pru. Wine, no I’m not wining but he’s coming too and have to sample and agree what’s going on our new list – and this is all before lunchtime when we open.
Have chosen some lovely wines though so let me know what you think when it’s out as I’m told blogging is a two way street.
Paperwork now which is why I’m signing off and will be back next week and for those of you that like to read my blurb at the front of the menu they’re all here so read and enjoy!
See you next week
Regards Anita
