November 2007 update…

Hello there, remember, remember the 5th of November, bonfire night the stars are bright two little angels dressed in white or at least it went something like that which caused great hilarity when I was singing it to my friends and no I won’t do a rendition now! Well that was yesterday and I really must buy a Poppy as sadly no one has brought us any to sell this year – I wonder why…

As usual whenever I sit down to write this it’s because we have some new dishes for you to try now the colder weather is apparently on it’s way we’ll be lighting the fires too so you can as it says behind the bar – toast your toes, yep we’ve had the boards redone too. – so make sure you take a look! On the starters the Feta is to die for, some Pasta and a Hot pot to warm you up, a bit of Pheasant for those Game birds amongst you and as ever a Pudd that I love is a new twist on our sweet Havercakes – there’s lots more but you’ll have to read through it

We are advertising the website though we are currently working on that but it was too good to miss up while we were having the boards done. However we hope to soon have the menus on and the story so far which you seem to enjoy  – don’t’ forget to have a look and let us know what you think!

Great news we are delighted to be in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide for 2008, we have made it into the CAMRA Good Food Guide before, Hidden places of Yorkshire and were nominated for Food Heroes on the Internet. If you would like to put us forward for any other guides, we’d be over the moon so do let us know.

Have you started Christmas Shopping yet – no me neither though I do know some that even have them wrapped – far too organised I think and what do you get for sons that just say –“we’ll have the money Mum” and my Dad – well maybe I’ll get some tinsel for his walking stick and a Kiss me Slowly Hat

Dominoes – yes we won the Cup again or at least the B Team after the A team triumphed last year so we still hold the trophy – terrific!
