Hello there, yes it’s me again and I know from what you tell me that you love reading this so read on and I hope you’ll be entertained! Summer was here when we put this menu together with some lovely salads for you, just hoping it will return now and that the glorious few days we had wasn’t it!
As ever we hope you’ll like the new dishes, we’ve added a Seafood Havercake as the current ones have proved really popular but I won’t spoil it I’ll let you discover them for yourselves. Amy (our daughter and mini me as everyone says) wanted her name in the menu too so we’ve done that as we are a family business. Aaron enjoyed his stint away but is now back in the fold – or would be if his hand wasn’t in a pot (3 weeks to go and hope for the best), Rikki helps out now too sometimes under pressure but like us all he likes pay day best
Our wine list is currently being revamped and will be with us shortly – the tasting however took place inside this year due to the inclement weather but it didn’t dampen our spirits for wanting to give you something new to try. We’re debating whether to do a wine tasting evening so if you’d be interested in that and a special menu let us know!
No smoking from 1st July, some will say yippee others won’t but it will be happening so we have a date in the diary to clean the carpets and curtains, and we have ideas for outside subject to planning, so keep watch.
My Dad is up here now and enjoys a weekly game of dominoes with Walter, Rikki and Amy – which is great for all of them to enjoy, and we’re just waiting to see if the Dominoes team have done enough to win the league this year.
A Pub that serves food, with waiter service for food and drinks at decent prices was always our aim, and they said at the start it wouldn’t work – now it’s often copied but not bettered in our view, we hope you agree.
